Joy and the drawers

I taught JoyJoy to get her own clothing and place them in a fixed place when it’s bath time. She does it happily, probably because of the novelty of having her own set of drawers and she likes to be able to do things on her own.

I was washing up in the kitchen when she came running to me with a concerned look on her face.

“Why? What happened?” I asked, worried.

“衣服! 衣服!she said, looking very worried.

I went to the bedroom with her and saw this. Oh.

I asked her “Who did this JoyJoy?”

“JoyJoy do!” she said with a megawatt smile on her face, looking for praise.

Amused, I told her she did a good job by closing the drawers after she’s opened them but showed her that the clothing cannot be outside of the drawers, it must be inside. She mulled over the advice whilst taking a sip of water.

When I asked her to “Show mummy”, she put her bottle of water carefully on top of the drawers and pulled open another one. Then she looked at me and smiled her megawatt smile again before closing it.

No, I wasn’t expecting her to and she didn’t fold the clothing back. I’m writing about this because I just love how she runs to me when she knows something is wrong and how she makes me so very happy when she flashes her megawatt smile at the most unexpected times. I’m lucky to be home with her.

:) I like the feeling of having their trust that we can help them / fix things. It’s really the little things that I’m enjoying a lot about staying home.

  2. haahaahaa….I just love her innocent smiles!!!
