Sea Apple Shop | Stylish Little Clothes for Chinese New Year ( with Discount & Giveaway )

[WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: Congratulations to Jamie Chaw, for wining yourself a lovely cheongsam for your little girl!]

Four years into motherhood, I still carry a smile on my face when I dress Joy. Her clothing are still miniature (I love little clothes!) and Joy has such strong opinions about them. I still get to decide what goes into her wardrobe though, and only quality pieces make it in.
Sea Apple Shop is a label that just launched this year, each piece in their collection is designed for little girls aged six months to six years by momtrepreneur, Su Mei, who is based in Singapore. Each piece is made with quality cotton and linen with intricate details that are not over the top or gaudy.

I picked a classy miniature cheongsam named Jade for Joy. It was delivered wrapped in paper and a ribbon, like a gift.

Jade is fully lined in 100% cotton voile and the outer layer of the dress is made of a cotton linen fabric with a delicate sheen. The color of this little Cheongsam is true to it’s name – a classy Jade color that hints at it’s Chinese roots yet makes it suitable for more than just Chinese New Year.

I love elegance on little clothes. The three japanese pearl shank buttons on the chest of the Jade cheongsam are well placed.

My mother was a seamstress, I get beautiful handmade clothing from young. That is why, I always pay special attention to details like the zip and the stitching, to gauge if a garment is well made, or not. The Jade cheongsam is very well made.

I brought Joy out to shop for fresh flowers wearing Jade. Here’s how the cheongsam looks on her.

Jade’s altered cheongsam silhouette makes it comfortable for little ones to wear. Joy roamed about with ease and comfort.

Chinese collars for little girls are classy.

Three precious buttons on the chest.

Jade has distinctive high waist with generous gathers

Cap sleeves are adorable on little girls

Gorgeous pleat detailing at the skirt hem. The dress reminds me of a hanbok.

A front look of the very pretty cheongsam. The Jade color makes Joy stand out well from traditional Chinese New Year colors.

The limited edition cheongsams on Sea Apple Shop, Sarah and Sophie, has my heart. Sarah and Sophie are both made with exquisite fabric of renowned quality from Europe. Only 30 pieces were manufactured for each design. In fact, Sarah was my most favourite piece of the entire CNY collection but already sold out in Joy’s size last week.

The debut collection is named “Indoor Garden”, as was heavily inspired by nature and its beautiful palettes. The miniature cheongsams each have details that surprises and pleases. The non-limited edition collection are made with fabric sourced personally by Su Mei from Japan and Korea. Other than Jade, I like Rebecca a lot too, for the flutter sleeves.

  2. My girl love Peony.

  3. My favourite piece is Emma! I like how classic it looks and can be worn from big festive occasions like Chinese New Year to intimate and happy occasions like weddings to all fun and play events like birthday parties, from now till 10+ years down the road!

I also love the light shade of red as the main colour with a much stronger red to accentuate the outline of the dress and waist, making this dress look constantly cheery and chic yet with a hint of traditional vibe from the Chinese collars. I love it!
