I’ve been a make up fanatic since my teens. One of my favourite pastime was to watch make up gurus on youtube and learn. I picked up lots of make up tips but the thing is, at that time, I mostly watched US based youtubers and their makeup veered towards the thick side. I suffered for it because thick make up and weather here in Singapore do not go well together.
Now, I prefer to wear just sunblock or just BB / CC Cream or a combination of BB / CC cream with loose powder if I want a more made up look. Lines are less obvious and you don’t look like you’re trying too hard, especially important for people my age (*cough*).
I was almost resigned to the fact that BB Creams / CC Creams mostly contain colorants, may not be paraben free and need to be cleaned off throughly until I read up (at that time, there was very minimal information available) on KLARITY’s Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion. All I knew then was that it’s a CC cream that it does not contain colorants, is paraben free, non-comedogenic and has a sun screen factor of SPF30/PA++ but that’s enough, I wanted to try it.

REVIEW

R: After application, skin gets a wash of a very light sheen.

On my skin, I only have on Klarity and concealer under my eyes. It has almost zero coverage but doesn’t make lines more obvious like other BB Creams can.
The texture is very light and it gives skin good light reflection so when taking pictures your skin will look radiant. I like using it as my skin base by itself or with just a light dust of powder but I think it can be used as a primer as well.

The thing about Klarity giving you skin that is a tone lighter is true if you apply just enough – a pea sized amount for your whole face should be enough, start with a little and then add more if needed. Being a tone lighter on the face means you also need to apply on your neck, décolleté and arms to balance everything up. I’m quite fair to start with, it works great with my skin but I’m not sure about those who are tanner.
There is no sticky feeling, my skin feels hydrated and it fits onto skin like a 2nd skin (again, if you apply properly). I’m quite surprised that it is waterproof because it doesn’t feel like it. In my opinion, the flawless skin look needs your skin to be in tip top condition first (i.e smooth, well hydrated and plump) so I don’t expect items I classify as “make up” to do the trick for me but this one gives a good glow that I like and I’ve been using it almost daily since I got my review tube.
I remove everything I have on my face at the end of a day out of habit (my favourite make up removal products here), especially if I have other make up items on but, according to Klarity’s Founder, Karine, the Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion does not need to be removed like foundations and BB Cream (i.e. no need for double cleansing) because it’s skincare that has skin brightening effects as opposed to make – great to know!
If you’re interested, Klarity™ is now available on Secretive.sg as well as SASA (20% off now!) and BHG. p.s. I saw sample testers at BHG, you can try before you buy!
Disclosure: I was invited to the Klarity Beauty Brunch and gifted with a tube of Klarity Lasertox™ CC Miracle White Lotion, no other compensation was received and there was no obligation to write this post. All opinions and experiences are my own.
